The 2010/11 “larry.” collection began to take shape in a one-room cabin in the woods of Whitehorse, ensconced by the wintry white of the Yukon Territory. Sequestered away for a week-long knitting retreat, designer Terri Potratz explored the dichotomy between urban style versus the practical demands of living in the country, subjected to the elements. The result is a collection of work that adapts effortlessly to high-fashion tastes and the stark necessity of country living. New techniques in yarn and leather manipulation were explored within the “lobird road” collection, including weaving, macramé, and nautical knot-tying. The "larry." line has evolved to include jewelery and accessories, in addition to their signature oversized knits.
